Please recommend tubes for my Crate!!!!

Well I fried my Crate VFX212 Tube amp last week, it looked like it came from one of the output tubes and fried part of the circuit board. Once that is fixed I will need new tubes all around probably.

So recommend me tubes for my situation:

I only use the clean channel and use a Jeckyl and Hyde pedal for distortion. I am in a Hard rock band so I use that pedal all the time. What tubes would be best for this set up, will different tubes give me a better sound out of the J&H? I still want the good clean sound and headroom, but are there tubes that will give me head room but make my pedal sound heavier?

Also, what tubes would make the amps distortion channel have much more gain and better suited for hard rock?

Thanks guys...hope my amp is covered under warranty.

Well i am just gonna improvise, but if you want lush, bigger than life, moody, mids heavy crunch I would recommend this, but its more my intuition here than anything else. For V1/tonestack(a lot of times its V2) get a JJ ECC83s goldpin/JJ ECC83s High gain see which one works better in which V. I dont know if you have two or one more Vs in this amp but try some tungsol maybe? for power tube I would say get SED EL34s

Talk to Doug at www.dougstubes.com He has a knack for picking out just the right tube to match the amp for the sound desired. WOW....I've said that in alot of tube related threads but it's true!
I don't like JJ preamp tubes.....I love the reissue TUNG-SOL 12AX7. I recomend it over any other current production preamp tube.
