You see, even though i have one, its burIed behind all kinds of ebay stuff so i can't Play it. Even if I could, I don't play anymore.I want to , I plan to, but I don't.
Now, I have one of the best best Marshalls- a 1978 JMP 100 watt through a full stack of G12-65's and Greenbacks., but have only really played it maybe a few hours total since I got it many years ago.
The thing that concerns me , even though I remember it does sound fantastic, from what i remember is there was no real low end / Low mid pant leg flapping air moving for the massive 'chugga chugga' 'whomp whomp' thing.
That what i love about the Peavey 6505 I have is that it has a low end 'resonance' feature that basically sounds like a bass player is playing note-for -not along with every shred lick you do.
So, is the Marshall just all 'upper mids'??
Can that be rectified by maybe a modification, or maybe going with a hot rod Plexi? Did Van Halens Plexi thing have lots of low mids?
