pls Help! i am driven mad by high E string!

Gentlemen,

I have a gibon std04 with emg81/85. every time I pluck the high e string or do a slide up or down on it (under high gain), other strings, without being touched at all, would ring like crazy. I mention this because my fender doesn’t seem to have this problem. when I play on high e string, other strings would stay quiet

So guys, please help me out by telling me whether:

It is a neck or fret problem;
Or
It is the nature of high-gain pu;
Or
It is common with every guitar and I am just too stupid to know that u should ALWAYS palm-muting all other strings when playing high E string.

Well, I think it might be the muting part. I generally mute all other strings, even if they are not prone to start ringing.
