POD XT...Model Packs..YES or NO???

Re: POD XT...Model Packs..YES or NO???

for me, the metal pack was very much worth the price. all i use are "amps" from it. i didn't need the other packs but i'd be lost without the metal one.

I got them for my PODxt Pro when I had it... VERY cool upgrade if you ask me. And I don't think I'd be quite so paranoid about using your card online. There are plenty of other ways to get your information besides hacking into a secure ordering page :laugh2:. Just be smart, practice moderation, and you should probably be safe :).

A lot of the effects are pretty out there, but there are some nice OD box models in there. There should be a list of what's included there on the Line 6 site. I'll see if I can find a link.

Re: POD XT...Model Packs..YES or NO???

I liked the FX one- the synth notes made up for lack of a harmonizer. The metal amps I didn't use as much, since I am not a metal player. In all, I think it is worth it- a lot more for only $100...they could've charged that much for each.

Re: POD XT...Model Packs..YES or NO???

watching this for sure, i was just thinking the same thing last night!

the metal pack does look AWESOME, the classic amps are kinda so-so to me u know

i mean a 1996 fender mini amp?

Re: POD XT...Model Packs..YES or NO???

the better the pickups you have the more you will be able to manipulate effects alot of them are extremely odd and i doubt you'll use those but the 1s that you have use for makes it worth the money you can download all pod xt presets from the library and are not limited to the factory given 1s

Re: POD XT...Model Packs..YES or NO???

Lemme add another 2 cents... I was one of the beta testers for the model packs and I thought it was way cool that the model packs "factory patches" were more designed as useable patches rather than patches that just demo what it can do. I personally had 8-9 of my designed patches ended up as "factory" ones. They were ones I developed while testing and that I used in the studio quite a bit.

Aside from that, YES! The patches are well worth it!

OK man which ones are yours!
I like my pod xtl.
i use it mostly for just practice either with headphones or actually running thru the computer speaker.

i am still heavily considering the metal amp pack!

Re: POD XT...Model Packs..YES or NO???

aaronl from what I can recall at the moment, here are some of my patches...

Classic Pack: Bombs Away 23b, So Much More 23c

Metal Pack: Bad Angel 24c, Smashplate 25a

FX Junkie: Lunatic Funk 26b, Sexy Plexi 26c ( I have my main version of Sexy Plexi I use all the time with different fx. It's one of my main rhythm tones )

Whole Enchilada Bundle: Austin Blues 17d

I know there are a couple of others. Just can't remember off the top of my head now.

What is that one?

I think the FX junkie one comes loaded on the pod xtl right?

I am big time thinking about the metal pack!

Re: POD XT...Model Packs..YES or NO???

i never knew that the silverface 72 bassman was a good enough amp to be modeled!?

Re: POD XT...Model Packs..YES or NO???

I have my eye on the FX Junkie pack. I've always wanted to mess around with synth-type effects.

I'm still trying to decide whether to amplify my PODxt, or go with a Flextone III. If I do the latter, I doubt I'll buy any packs for the POD, since I would never get to use them live. Decisions decisions ...

Re: POD XT...Model Packs..YES or NO???

The Whole Enchilada Bundle is just a patch bundle from Line 6 they had downloadable with a pile of model pack patches including some that didn't make it to the actual factory set. Use Line 6 Edit to get em in there.
