I'm wondering why some of you chose the model you did, and why you thought it excelled beyond the other models for your use.

Hmm.. Because it looked so sexy behind the counter. I really didn't know I wanted a classic style tele, I wanted a HH tele, but in the end, I fell in love with the 60th.

My Fender Custom Telecaster FMT HH is my favorite guitar.

Mahogany with a thin Set Neck and Flamed Maple Top.

2 Duncan Humbuckers with coil splitting option.

It's a simple design that feels just right for my personal taste. I bought two of them.

Right now, the blue one has a Custom 5 in the bridge and a Jazz in the neck and sounds good, but I'm always wondering if there's a better pickup combo. I'm pretty happy, though. It's the first guitar that just resonated before I even plugged it in to an amp.

The other one I have has a Pearly Gates Plus in the Bridge and a Reverse Wound '59 in the neck.

I always thought my '69 Tele was better than anything FMIC has attempted. They're kind of lost IMO. I like a few of the humbucker Telecasters I've stuck together, but I'd love to trye one of the one's Seymour's made because I suspect that he's done a better job.

I think my homebrew Esquire'll kick some butt after I revise some of the bugs out of it. I'll probably order a Duncan STL-1b for it. I haven't put together a new control plate assy for it yet, but I spent a couple hours deglossing an Esquire pickguard last night.

Re: Poll: Favorite Tele model, and why.

out of those choices, i picked the 52 ri, cause its sexy. i like teles that are modded beyond recognition...... like mine.

Re: Poll: Favorite Tele model, and why.

None of the above. The original Leo Fender era (1950-1965) Telecasters are my favorite. If I had to pick a modern era Telecaster it would be the Hot Rod Tele with the Seymour Duncan minihumbucker in the neck position.

Re: Poll: Favorite Tele model, and why.

i picked American Tele.... but to tell the truth my favourite is a double bound tele with an all Maple neck, larger frets, and real single coils or double humbuckers.... and Fender does not make them like that.... the 60's reissues can be close but the mini frets and vintage radius are not me....

Re: Poll: Favorite Tele model, and why.

Even though B Bent is a total douche, the B Bender Tele gets my vote!!!

LOL!

Re: Poll: Favorite Tele model, and why.

Designer Series. Only 250 ever made, I own one. Most beautiful Tele ever, fantastically appointed.

Re: Poll: Favorite Tele model, and why.

Very happy with my Classic Player 'Baja' thank you very much. Will see how the Warmoth compares once it's actually assembled.

Standard.

Specifically my 1992 Standard that's loaded with EMGs... Yummy.

The best Tele I've played so far is a '63 Relic RI in Black. Sexy as he!! and tone for days!
