Sorry, I couldn't add a poll to the original thread (because it has to be made 10 minutes after thread start, and i was busy)

So here it comes.

Sorry for the silly thread, but it's just for fun.

"Just for fun?" They'll be guys having fist fights over this. You may have just lit a fuse. I see police & lawyers involved.

Re: POLL: "Perfect' or "Complete" guitar

Yes, and the judge will be B.B. King.

WHAM - i sentense you to being a guitar n00b.
*Plays a wailing guitar solo, and makes a mean guitar face*

Re: POLL: "Perfect' or "Complete" guitar

Well, I don't exactly get the Warmoth build option but anyways, my perfect guitar has got to be a Superstrat of sorts, definitely with a Floyd (although probably flush-mount) and probably with two splittable buckers while (at least) 24 frets are a must!

In short, something unnaturally similar to this:

Re: POLL: "Perfect' or "Complete" guitar

i had to say completely custom build since thats they route i had to go to find what i wanted without paying 10k. aside from that though...a strat with a hard V neck comes pretty close.

Re: POLL: "Perfect' or "Complete" guitar

Thinline Tele for me, followed closely by a Gretsch Sparkle Jet w/Bigsby.

There ya go,now you're talkin! I have a hunch that a standard strat style guitar will edge the rest out though.... ;o) We'll see?

Re: POLL: "Perfect' or "Complete" guitar

It almost seems like any guitar that tries to do it all ends up being a jack of all trades, master of none. That's why I've got a Les Paul, Strat, Tele, P90, and a few specialized shred style guitars. I AM missing a good SG... ;)

Seriously though, I like my Strat being a Strat and the Schecter being the Schecter, no need to find the middle ground.

Re: POLL: "Perfect' or "Complete" guitar

I'm a tele guy through and through...strats are cool, but I like a thicker body and the simpler two pickup setup. Les Pauls and SG's are cool too, but the necks don't feel right to me, and a tele can sound just as thick and dirty.

Re: POLL: "Perfect' or "Complete" guitar

My Parker Fly Deluxe is quite versatile.

The Fly Mojo has, er, well, MOJO!

Re: POLL: "Perfect' or "Complete" guitar

i don't like having different guitars for different sounds...somehow, i kinda make them sound like me anyway.
no one makes a guitar that i would call 'perfect'- they are always someone else's idea of perfect, not mine. if we are talking perfection, it certainly isn't something someone else has- or whats 'common' like a sunburst LP or a black strat. besides, i want a guitar to conform to me, not the other way around, so i gotta go with completely custom built. yeah, it is expensive, and i can't afford it, but perfection usually is.

Thats not complete, thats missing some tiger or kamikaze 80s finish!!

Re: POLL: "Perfect' or "Complete" guitar

A hss strat with bridge pickup coil split and parallel

Got to have a bridge humbucker and a neck single coil.

That's all I need :D.

Anybody who doesn't say PRS is a tonal ignoramus and has a playing ability below that of a three month old Siamese tiger.

And THEY don't even have opposable thumbs.

Re: POLL: "Perfect' or "Complete" guitar

prs comes very close to merging both the Les Paul and the Strat tones the best. Hard to beat the versitility of that guitar thats for sure.
:bigok:
