possible to use a hotplate with a combo?

I know with half stacks you put the attenuater between the head and cab. Is it possible to use a hotplate or other attenuater with a tube combo? If so how would it work? thanks in advance.

Normally it is not to big of a deal. Disconect the speaker wire from the speaker terimanls connnect a speaker cable end, run that into the attenuator. Take another speaker cable end and run it out of the attenuator and connect the wires to the speaker using standard terminal ends.

Yes you can, and I need an attenuator for this reason. The only foreseeable problem is the lengthe of the speaker cable.
