Posts of my band - guitar sound advice wanted

Here's a link to my band's page. It's pop-rock stuff. I'm playing the lead guitar parts on a MIM Standard Strat with Fat 50s pickups through a Peavey Delta Blues (most of it) and a Deluxe Reverb Reissue (some solos). Me and the other guitar player (Tele) both play rhythm. All my stuff is played with the bridge pickup only. I was thinking of replacing it with a cool rail or a low output humbucker so the rhythm tone would have a little more body live. Any other guitar tone suggestions? As you can see I like a little more treble and a little less gain than your average Joe.

Cool indie rock! Lots of attitude in the vocals.. sorry, I like Reese's vocals more :D Reminds me a little of Concrete Blonde and Velvet Underground. Your guitar playing is right in the pocket.

the music is killer, really. right up my ally. its great. great tone, i wouldnt change a thing.

are these tunes done in a studio?

my only thing to recommend would be the vocals are a little weird, but i actually like them. i dont know why......they just seem a little out of place.....maybe a little to in your face...i dont know....help someone?! lol

also, that tone is really great, i cant get over it

listening to the other songs, deffinately dont change anything with the tone. its great1 any pedals used?

Re: Posts of my band - guitar sound advice wanted

is it just me or do the vocals sound liek nickleback...?

Re: Posts of my band - guitar sound advice wanted

Hey - Thanks for listening everyone. Xerxes, I used an Guyatone mini-OD2 (a little orange tube screamer type thing with no tone knob) on most of it. On the solo for "The Second Wife" I also used an AKAI intelliphase (great pedal, you can find them on Ebay for aboput $35). On the panned solos for Marianne, and on the riff for "The Second Wife" I used a Fulltone Fulldrive. All Fender Fat 50s bridge pickup. We did record it in a relatively small cheap studio.

Definitely not the female vocals. Both sound more 80s to me.

I dig your tone....not much I would suggest changing about it. Catchy songwriting too.

Re: Posts of my band - guitar sound advice wanted

Thanks everyone - you've probably saved me a whole bunch of $$$.

Re: Posts of my band - guitar sound advice wanted

if that's chick singing, i'd be a little less freaked out.... but if it's a dude he should be in a classic rock band like rush or something :laugh2:

This is the kind of music that I think would sound cool in a small bar, where everyone knows everyone, having a brew or two, and just having fun. Nothing too serious, but still basic good rockin'. :)

Hey, if you like this music, and you're from the Triangle area in NC, The Last Nerves are playing on Tuesday, June 8 at the Cave in Chapel Hill at 9 pm sharp. It's only our second show.
