Thank you. Since there is no effects loop what is the max input level the preamp can take before being overdriven?

Re: PowerStage 170 is Shipping Today!

We've been "beta-test" gigging this for a couple months, using our high gain pedals (Palladium, 805, Forza, Killing) sometimes all ON. That Palldium is "gain-city". No problem. Sorry for the lack numerical specs in my answer, but I don't think there's any issues regarding input levels.

Re: PowerStage 170 is Shipping Today!

Thanks for putting the entire power supply inside the chassis.

Re: PowerStage 170 is Shipping Today!

Because of RFI/EMI in a class D amp an internal Pwr Supply is pretty much a necessity.

I've seen some micro amp heads with Class D power sections and outboard power supplies. I think that would bother me.

Re: PowerStage 170 is Shipping Today!

Cool. Power amp, preamp tone stack all in a pedal sized package. Color to your hearts content.

Re: PowerStage 170 is Shipping Today!

How hard/easy is it to turn the Level knob?

That's the one thing that gives me pause about the 170 vs., say, the ISP Stealth Ultra-Lite. Some person/stage diver wandering by (or oneself) accidentally spinning the big-and-easy-to-reach knob, and suddenly one's speakers are toast.

That's such a non issue for 99% of potential buyers IMO.

Re: PowerStage 170 is Shipping Today!

Actually, when I tried it...I never turned that knob. So maybe boomer can answer that....

Re: PowerStage 170 is Shipping Today!

The volume knob rolls smoothly, with just enough resistance to easily control it. No worries. The 700 should be shipping next week, woo hoo!
