Aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii thanks man. She has about 5 hours play time on it now. Only thing that could have made it better would have been a scalloped neck. But unfortunately i wouldn't know how to make a jig to do it :fingersx: hehe kidding.

Happy dance continues

Re: Project fullMap

That is very awesome. It's probably been asked already but do you still like the flat fretboard?

Re: Project fullMap

well would you look at that thing. It's a gah damm work of art is what it is. I would have posted earlier, but other threads have been getting crazy-bumped. How heavy is it? Looks light as Eff.

You need a Slug in that pickup hole.

Slug in hole. It only has a dimarzio because i am too poor to get anything else. I scored 3 new dimarzios for $100 so at that price it has to go in. Luckily the x2n is a great pup in its own right. Eventually i would like a full shred or wilburn metalbucker in it.

I know i told you the weight but here are the final specs again.

I have played it for at least 10 hours now and i still haven't finished slotting the nut haha. It doesn't bother it tho it stays in tune really well..

Re: Project fullMap

This is by far the best build I have ever seen. You've ruined my self confidence and dashed my dreams of ever building an axe because nithing can compare to the craftsmanship that you've exhibited in your build.

Thanks alot, A-hole.

Thanks bro, but to be honest a lot of the process was much easier compared to say building an acoustic or hollow body. If you get a goal in place and reach it by archiving it in small stages you can basically do anything. Get started on building something asap man its a good hobby.

Have you seen ChAoZ? 8 string build? Man that dude is a magician.

That is looking awesome! Great job. Must be so happy seeingnt finished and playing nicely.

Thanks i am super proud of it. It is a fantastic feeling once they are done. Now onto the next build.

Re: Project fullMap

Wow ..... very inspiring indeed ! Now you have to build a little electric mandolin, with lots of frets, and finish it using a map of the surface of the moon !

Re: Project fullMap

Awesome guitar is awesome!
So many frets makes me think of Uli jon roth's guitar. How does the higher frets play?

I think I said it before, but seeing how you did this guitar is gonna help me make mine :)

thanks man, The higher frets play great although its not an easy area to play in. I am making one like this but with a UJR style 37 fretboard too. That one will be a natural finish or painted. :oh:yea

Re: Project fullMap

That is some beatiful guitar. Design is so simple and every single detail is done greatly without popping out of the body.

Just read the whole thread a couple days ago. I raise my hat, mate. You do awesome finishes.
