One of those nights...

Re: Project Night

Fun Stuff!! Elixers on the electrics and the other for an acoustic??

Ive never tried Elixers on an electric. Only on my acoustic.

Re: Project Night

All done.

The acoustic and Black Strat came right into setup since the strings are the same. The Clone needs just a tweak to the truss rod, and I think I’ll do a full setup on the Sonic Blue Strat since it’s floating and this is a new gauge. I roughed it in, but the Black one plays so effortlessly, I’ve got to match it. ;)

Yep, going to a unified gauge on the electrics to see how it feels. The Lifespans sound better to me than Elixirs on acoustic. (Given my choice, I’d do a new set of Slinky’s on the electric and D’Addario Phosphor Bronze on the acoustic every other week, but with a 2.5 year old and 4 month old, time is precious and these Elixirs can go months!)

Nice trio! Kinda makes me think I should put a strat together... Aaannnd, that I should go up in gauge with my low E. Loving the sonic blue strat.

Thanks! The Sonic Blue is a Classic Player, awesome guitar for the money. The Black one is one I built, all USA stuff except the kick ass neck from Ayrton.

Everyone needs a Strat (or 6... ;))

Re: Project Night

Ah the Clone lucky #13, I remember I had such a strong case of GAS back when Mike first posted it back in '07... *Sigh* how time flies...
