What do you guys think? Reckon it'll be a hit? I'm not sure who the target group is. Seems to me most strat players want their strats to be strats.

I love John Mayer and love his previous Fender signature guitar, not a fan of this one though.

I’d play it. Anytime John Mayer guitar anything happens, it makes me happy because all the internet nobodies start saying really funny stuff. I’m not into his pop stuff, but I’d love to see any of the trolls jam with him.

More necks should have 7.25" at the nut, so comfortable. Not as fun above the 12th unless you like the feeling of fighting the guitar a little.

I’m a prs fan but this is Meh...
People who play strats are most likely going to stay on strats, would I buy one versus a fender??
I don’t have a desire for either at the moment so can’t say.

meh. dont hate it (other than the stupid tight fingerboard radius) but for what they are going to charge for it, im sure i can get a better strat for less

If you want a real nice Fender Stratocaster then for PRS money you could buy a real nice Fender Stratocaster.

this comes down to mayer is playing prs guitars now and wanted a strat so paul made him one. they will probably sell a good number of them too. just not to me.

I am a very big John Mayer fan so this naturally interests me. I have recently wanted another Strat and have also wanted a PRS, so this seems to be the answer haha.

I really dont care if a Strat is made by fender or not, and this seems to be a quality built guitar. I am more than excited to play it and judge it based on its own merits.

The target group must be players who are John Mayer fans, who also love PRS guitars, but have some problem with Fender Stratocasters.
It must be a fairly small niche market.
