PU for Roots music

I have an SG with a 490r in the neck and 490t. Although the 490t isn't too bad, but 490r is bure mud. So I need to replace the neck humbucker (and maybe the bridge, while I'm at it) with something a lot clearer than the 490r. I was thinking about getting a Seth Lover set. Does that sound like it would be suitable for roots music (e.g. Son Volt, Jay Farrar)?

ummm i think phat cats would be better, wilco at least uses some p90's for older stuff, but i don't think you could go wrong with seths
