Quarter pound flat or staggered?

Would the Q.P. flats work allright in a strat neck and middle. I know they make a staggered model, but it is harder to find. Or should I find the staggered ones.

Re: Quarter pound flat or staggered?

Either one will work just fine. I think that the tonal differences will be very slight and you may not even notice it.

Re: Quarter pound flat or staggered?

I've got a flat QP, and it's awsome. I would really go for the flat version, since with the staggered you really stand a chance of some serious Stratitis.

Re: Quarter pound flat or staggered?

I've got a pair of flat QP's, (neck & middle), in my Genny, along with a staggered Stag Mag in the bridge. The QP's do sound awesome.

Re: Quarter pound flat or staggered?

I personally like a rev stagger for the neck, flat for the bridge.
If I "gotta" have a mid p/up,I'd stagger it,too.
JM .02,tho.
