Question About Floyd Design...

I really hate the feel of a floyd rose. It's too low down IMO and for palm muting, I just don't like it at all.

The best bridge IMO is the typical Les Paul tuneomatic one.

Would it ever be possible to combine both? So you have a bridge that feels like a LP one, but it has the possibilities of a floyd. Is it just impossible?

Re: Question About Floyd Design...

a non-recessed floyd with an angled neck picket and raised saddles might do the trick, Carvel model 5's and 6's had that I believe, the one I played felt like a perfect combo.

I think you can get a Schaller bridge that is a tremolo replacement for a tuneomatic. i have no idea if its good or bad.

BTW, ALL production Jacksons were built this way ´86 -´89, not just the Charvel Imports ;)
