money is somewhat important, so if i can save some cash thatd be nice, im looking for a decent all rounder but most importantly i want a really good gain channel thats is sorta balanced to slightly bright, and it has to sound full and the clean channel should be decently warm sounding, any other suggestions in the 800-1000 range would be nice as well

If money is an ishooo ; http://www.ebay.com/itm/Randall-RG5...953?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27e5255e31 - 50W all valve/toob, for $400.00 BIN !

IF you need a bigger sound, add a 4X12.

I'd consider a Mesa Boogie Single Rectifier. Or either of the old two channel Dual or Triple Rectos, if you like the Recto style distortion, that is. Any can be had under $1000 used.

Out of the 3, I like the Egnater Vengeance the most, and I have one sitting next to my Bogner XTC, Jubilee, JCM 800, Orange etc.

It's a very well thought out amp, and has features you appreciate more once you own it.
The gain channel can be tight 80's, sludgy doom, mid-heavy, scooped, whatever you want.
It also has dual footswitchable masters, so your boost has it's own volume control. Both channels have their own reverb control, which is also footswitchable. It has footswitchable mid boost, and footswitchable FX loop. The FX loop is fully mixable like a Bogner.

The Vengeance can also take any octal tube type, and you can even mix duets of different types, and bias them individually with a volt meter.

As for the clean channel. It's one of the best clean channels I've ever heard on a two channel high gain head. It's in the same quality ballpark as my Matchless and vintage Fender Pro Reverb.

I can't say that about any Randall or Peavey I've plugged into. I'm not sure how long the Armageddon and Vengeance will be around. They could be discontinued at any time, so track one down. There's not many amps in their price range that are better.

im sure if they discontinue those two lineups they will make new updated affordable amps at around the 1000-1200 mark... there highly competitive, if they re released something with a new name on it and it was good quality at a good price they could start seriously crushing there competition...

I sort of wish I knew what in the world you're talking about.
