Really small guitar practice amp with a headphone jack

Full disclosure: Lifelong bass player; have never played guitar.

Recently have started playing guitar and for now I'm using my brother's Les Paul Recording model (it's in the shop for a setup).

Would like to get a really small practice amp. It must have a headphone jack...I'm really unfamiliar with what's out there. Don't want to spend more than about $200.

Can something decent be found @ that price?

Danelectro Honey Tone. Super cheap, super light, headphone jack, battery power. Or get a Vox amp-plug.

Sent from my chromed robot turd, using the miserable junk code known as crapatalk.

Look at the the Blackstar ID Core series. ID:Core 10($99), ID:Core 20($149) and ID:Core 40($199)

Thanks: Saw these in the evil GC and realized I have no idea who a lot of these newer manufacturers are---will check it out. I hope that weird handle is detachable.

Familiar with Dano, but not these--saw a bunch on eBay.

Thanks for the swift replies!

hey, here's this thing from Vox too.

Wow--this thing is very cool on a lot of levels. I especially like that can be mounted on a mic stand: Floor space is an issue in a New York apartment. Thanks for the headsup!

Look also in the Roland Cube series..Nice amps!

+1 This wins big time. The only reason I did not go for it, was because, I found something that worked better for what I wanted tonally a Vox Pathfinder.

Marshall MS-2. $30 ish. Works fine for practice. And you can actually use if for recording!

Intro guitars are the MS-2.

This actually looks like the ticket. I don't want or need any modeling or effects (I bought a DigiTech RV-7 and have a bunch of other stuff if if really need it).

Is there a headphone jack on the back? The Amazon description says "Features a headphone output."

Thanks.

Headphone jack's on the side, next to the power input jack.

Re: Really small guitar practice amp with a headphone jack

Are you more concerned with how it sounds as an amp, or as a headphone amp?

I use this for Bedroom levels. And it works very well. responds to the volume control on the guitar beautifully. Fender has a few diff models.

I have tried the Marshall MS2. that again is a nice one.
I did not want a Modeling amp and that was one of the reasons I kept away from the Cube ( though it is a good amp).

How it sounds as an amp, with an option to use headphones. I don't want it to sound like a clock radio.

Oh. I decided a long time ago to split up the two functions -- get a good practice amp, get a good headphone amp. There are lots of practice amps you can press into service and get decent sounds from. For headphone stuff, I've really liked Korg, Vox ToneLab, and Line 6.

I'll keep that in mind: I think I'm going to have to pay a visit to the evil GC and check some of these out. Thanks, all...

Since Im an 80s metal guy, (they always had walls of marshalls in the backline) and also a goofball, I always thought it would be funny to come out and do a gig with a backline of these mini marshalls.. Ala spinal tap's stonehenge...
