recommend a pedal tuner

I'm looking into getting one. I actually have 3 in question:

1. fender PT-100

2. Korg DT-10

3. Boss TU-2

I know the boss is pretty much "tried and true" but what about the other ones? Anyone have any experience with them?

I'm currently leaning towards the Korg for the simple fact that I have one of their chromatic handhelds and it's pretty darn accurate.

any and all suggestions will be taken.

thanks

Had the Korg. Got it cheap. Sold it.

Was given the TU-2. Still have it.

If offered the Korg for cheap I would again buy it and then sell it.

You can either buy other pedals and then end up with the Boss or you can just get the Boss and be done with it.

another option is the new Strobostomp 2, which is 30x more accurate than the Boss....its almost twice the price too, but accurate enough to set intonation, has preset tunings, and acts as a direct box.

Re: recommend a pedal tuner

I've read enough about the Boss tuner, that if I ever buy another tuner, it will probably be the Boss.

But I currently have the Fender tuner. Why? It was a good price. And it seems to work well for me - no complaints. Well maybe one - last summer I played outside in the sun and I couldn't see anything on it. I had to prop up something to give me a little shade. Not sure if the Boss (or any tuner) would be better in those circumstances. Most pedals are designed for dark stages it seems.

Is that an actual strobe tuner? I always liked those, where you get the strobe to stop when you play in tune.

+1,000,000

After using my Peterson, all other tuners I have ever used suck in comparision. Yeah, it is pricey but, I am glad I dropped that kind of cash on it!

Re: recommend a pedal tuner

altough i use and love the Boss TU-2 ,i will give the strobostomp 2 a try.it's far better ,do not suck the tone like any other tuner ,and is accurate

Re: recommend a pedal tuner

+1 for the TU-2

The other great thing about the TU-2 is that it has a power out, which allows you to daisy-chain other effects using the power from the TU-2. Slick.

Re: recommend a pedal tuner

I have the Korg DT-10. It is a stable tuner even when you tune lower notes. The LED doesn't jump around is quick, so you don't have to wait for it to refresh its calculation. This really saves time for tuning when you are in a practice or a gig. I have no experience with the Boss TU-2.
