<--how about this one? Description sounds nice...

thanks

Edit:

So far the list for trials is (in no specific order):
Dunlop JD-F2 Fuzz Face 115€
EH Double Muff 55€
EH Big Muff 69€
VoodooLabs Superfuzz 149€
SD Tweak Fuzz 110€

All the others mentioned are not in the online catalogue of my dealer but I'll see if they have it in store, which is quite possible 'cause they usually have a huge selection of pedals.

Am I missing something else?

That VooDoo Labs Superfuzz might get you real close...I used to have an old Jordan Bosstone (whish is what the VL Superfuzz is a copy of) and it would get pretty nasty/splatty and had a prtty big bottom. You might also try the T Rex Mudhoney which is known to get some wild splatty sounds and also has a big bottom...

Remember those guys have boxes of old funky Fuzz tones that you will never find! One of them they use a lot was made by a company called Crown and it was just called FUZZ but they also use Fuzz Faces and Big Muffs as well...you could even get close to that with a Tweak Fuzz, maybe a Big Muff is in order (hell...maybe both!)

Start with those (VL Superfuzz, T-Rex Mudhoney, Fuzzface, Tweak Fuzz and a Big Muff) and se where that gets you...

Good luck!

D*A*M* meathead is pretty cool, you might be in line for a while though. If your one a budget I would just get the Big Muff (green box) or Dallas Fuzzface. Yet, just keep checking all of them out.

I'll tell you something else...old style FUZZ pedals are real bad about getting that splatty/spitting sound with nearly dead batteries...so old 9 volt batteries will help or if you use a VooDoo Labs pedal power II+ there are 2 of the outputs that have a SAG control on them that allows you to come down from the 9 volts all the way doen to aroun 4.5 volts...it works I use it and love it!
