Do you use the expression pedal to keep the oscillation from going out of control? I love that effect too, but sometimes it can start spiraling out of control, and I have to shut it off. :smack: :laugh2:
Guyatone SV-2 Slow Volume. It is a sort of remake of the old Boss SG-1 Slow Gear, but the Boss was discontinued in 1982, and they go for over $300 on eBay.
a delay. set the time to 100%. and the feedback to 100%, then turn the delay time knob when the repeats begin oscillating. The coollest psychedelic ever. This works great on a Line6 DL4, with the expression pedal. Old analog delays do it well too.
If you can find one, a Digitech Space Station is pretty darn freaky.
I have one. It's a killer pedal, but to say it's the best ignores the fact that there are a number of equally good 'vibe pedals out there (particularily the Deja'Vibe and Mojo-Vibe).
Really? I'd rather have a cheaper vibe with expression pedal.
Pretty much any Boss multi-fx has the slow gear on it...a very fun effect...combine it with reverse reverbs and you are floating in the crab nebula.
I'm getting flash-backs from just reading this thread :smack:
jesus id reaaly like to hear what that sounds like...any recordings/songs that have soemthing like that?
what pedals can I use to get that?

i map the exp pedal to control feedback and delay time. with just a press of the pedal I can go from, say 100% feedback, max delay time, to 80% feedback, with minimal delay...you get the swooshing sound, but you can control it before it gets out of control (if you want to). the exp pedal (I use an ernie ball 25k jr vol pedal) is absoulutely essential with the dl4.
