i know this guy who says he will record my bands demo for free becasue he wants to work on his producing...yes we're only 16 but thats besides the point. he told me that he has a Mackie 16 track mixer, a Layla Computer Interface and then Cool Tracks. is this a decent set up. i realize it's not gonna sound like a studio, but for aour 1st 3 song demp i think it's be okay. i have very little recording experience, is this set up anygood? besides his equipment i am worried about the bands stuff. i am playing with a Peavey XXL 1/2 stack which sounds pretty damn good to my ears i am also using a stock ESP LTD F200. my bassist is using a pretty decent setup, and the drums are decent too. waht i am worried about is my rhythm guitarist. he has good guitars (brian moore i2, ESP LTD F200) BUT he is running it through a Behringer GX210 and a Boss Metal Zone. our tones are really different. his is very brittle and mine is fuller. is this gonna b a major issue while recording?
