Remove Hot Rail casing???

Hi. Does anyone know if it's possible to open the casing of the "new style" Hot Rails/JB Junior pickups for strat? If so, are they too wide to put those "no holes" EMG style strat covers over them?

I just like the clean look of the Blackout singles/EMG singles, but I want to use passive duncan pickups.

my intuition tells me that it wouldn't work, but I could be wrong. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

I wasn't aware the Hot Rails looked "unclean". 2 slender rails sticking out of the top of mine.

Just out of curiosity, even if you do somehow get the casing open how do you plan to compensate for the poles? The ones on the JBJr and co are adjustable for a good reason and grinding rails down flat is a pretty bad idea in my experience....

Just suggesting that this may need to be thought out in more detail before it´s attempted

Rails look way more metal than EMGs.
