This thing is awesome! My review is simple...if you want delay, GET ONE OF THESE!
There are more high quality delay/echo models than you can poke a dead cat at as well as an awesome loop sampler wth 14 seconds of memory for you to make all sorts of wacky stuff with...it even has a function where you record a riff or a beat or something and you can then loop that, but instead of just playing over it you can keep playing stuff and after it goes through the loop the next time it will record all the new stuff you play too and play that as well and just keep layering it all on top of each other...so you could create some wild harmonised solos all by yourself...something ive gotta try!
Ive been running it through the effects loops of both my mesa boogie 50 cal + combo and my ENGL Savage 120 and it sounds fantastic through both and adds so much to the sound its incredible! It just makes it sound huge!
One other thing ive found too is that one of the echo models (tube echo) also has a control which adds some "drive" to the sound, so if you found a good setting for this echo and used it as your delay you could set one memory spot to this echo, and the next memory spot to the same echo settings but with a bit of drive added and it works as a volume boost!
This thing is great, and something i really shouldhave got ages ago. Its so versatile and has so many different types of delays in it that sound all wild and wooly that you could really create some wacked stuff with it. I cant say enough good things about it, its just a top notch top quality unit that any guitarist looking for a delay should get...or save up to get it if you cant afford it...dont settle for second best! This thing is the $HIT!
