Rid rules again!

Re: Rid rules again!

yup...and with my particluar pedal you can throw in Vox jangle clean and Vox od too!

i think a Rivera era Fender would suit you perfectly!

Re: Rid rules again!

Another true believer is made :D

If plexi is whatcha want but can't do the half/full stack thing..Rid is *THE* guy to get ya there :bigthumb:

The thing that amazed me is how well it "sparkles" like a real NMV. Just awesome. It's also got clarity without sounding sterile or harsh. I made a couple of clips when I had mine, but they in no way shape or form did the pedal any justice (I was running mine through the Rivera's "fender" channel)

I need a "2203-tone" from the man :laugh2:

So true, I'm just amazed at the "spread" of the sound, if you know what I mean. Made things sound a whole lot bigger.

Re: Rid rules again!

Wow, that sounds like a great pedal! Hot Drive & Boost II, Hmmm.

Steve_Bee's you're a lucky dude.

Re: Rid rules again!

A fizzy plexi then;)?
Lol well maybe you should get a custom made one Jeff?
:) Happy to hear that your pedals are giving you all a good time.
Makes it worth the while, that is for sure:)

I prefer to say "crunchy"..its all in the speakers ;)

Seriously..when I find a new place to live, and can get an amp cranked up a bit more, you can be damn sure I'll get a "2203 tone " and small tube combo or head/2x12. For now though, the modeller has to do :(

Re: Rid rules again!

Not quite a HDB MK2;)
Some severe changes has taken place in that one...hehe
Yep Jeff I know what you mean, and I have experimented with something as you know;)
Niels

I'm still trying to come up with a hot name for it!!!

Re: Rid rules again!

It needs more "shazam", cos that's what it sounds like. I had the first practice with my band using it, and it sounded killer. I didn't touch my amps footswitch all night!

Re: Rid rules again!

My Plexitone is my "bread and butter box". I've never had a pedal that gives me that sound. It fits so well in the band mix it's incredible. You would swear that I'm playing a NMV Marshall or even a JCM 800 CRANKED, but at lower volumes. A few weeks ago when I first started jamming with this band I listened to them play a Maiden song. Then I jumped in with ma plexitone and jeez, if it didn't sound just like the record (The Trooper, Hallowed Be Thy Name). The other two guys (Valvestate and MG series) were looking at me like "How are you getting that sound from a bassman?"

Neils, this pedal is the shiznit bubba! I can't wait to try the AC Tone

Re: Rid rules again!

Multiplex....

:laugh2:

For those outside the US (in case it's different elsewhere)....thats the name they give big movie theatre complexes.
