Rig question... ADA MP1 with VS8008 valevestate SS poweramp..

A friend of mine could sell me this rig. I could trade in my AOR for it I think. I like rack gear, and I could always run the ADA in stereo with the POD 2.0 like this, I could get some killer sounds! I'd just need a cab then. How is that poweramp?

How much is he wanting to charge you? The ADA isn't a bad unit. I think VooDoo has a mod that a lot of people tend to like. the marshall power amp is ok. I mean it does the trick, but I prefer tube power amps. Maybe you could use the marshall power amp to amplify the line 6. I am not sure I would pay more than 125, maybe 150 tops for that set up. If you could get the set up for 110 or under, then that would be a pretty good deal.

It'd be a straight trade for my Laney AOR 30W pro tube combo I think.

Other option is selling the AOR and getting a Laney LC15R combo. Easier because I won't need the midi controlboard and the cabinet...

good luck finding info on that marshall ... marshall doesn't even claim that they made it. I was doing some research on it a while back and the ONLY info i found was on harmony central. the manual wasn't even in marshall's archive (on the website)

like i said, good luck.

Mhmm the guy wants 280 pounds for the whole rig. Way out of my budget, especially since I'd need a cab. So I'll just sell my amp, go for a Laney LC15R and then get the ADA when I have the cash for some fun.
