I had it for a while beliving it was broken. Before I take it to a local repair shop, I gave the last chance. I replaced Century Vintage with the stock G12T-75 and

OH MY FREAKING BUDDA!

It was the speaker that caused problems. It used to sound like someone was choking the throat. Now that all the problems are gone, I can tell why it's $1400 amp. Great clean and fantastic overdriven tone.

The speaker huh???? Was that the problem with it before???? Why do you think the speaker caused the problem?

The Chubster is seriously kick-butt amp IMHO but I don't think that speaker or the small cab does it much justice...

I almost had Paul build me a head version of the Chubster 'cause I dug the amp when it was pushing a 4x12 or 2x12...but the combo sounded anemic...

Then I found a new old stock Rake Reverb which was the amp I wanted in the first place!
