Re: Scam warning !!!

Guys, I think it's not a good idea to call him. He shouldn't suspect that we're on to him.

Proxy, that address you got from an IP check? Is that real?

Can we just report him to the authorities in Brazil?

This is so nuts, you're all making me afraid of computers.
Really, how's this for spooky. I'm working a case with a stolen computer that has a manufactuer tracking system in it. Alerts the security firm that it's being used when and where and records the IP. Better yet, while on line, secuity guys can back door it and take screen shots of everything for evidence. If a webcam is connected, they can remotely take pics/video of the user and send all this to me for evidence. Pretty cool when you're interviewing a suspect and they're bullshtting you, then you pull out pictures of them sitting in front of the keyboard and pics of the emails they were writing at the time, etc.

Re: Scam warning !!!

Reading back on these this thread is a lesson on the internet. It is way too easy for someone to hack into my computer. For all the internet-smart dudes that know how to do it; that have been sharing their "wisdom" with us, I gotta ask one question:

How can I avoid ANYONE from hacking into my computer?

From reading the thread, 'hacking' sounds way too easy.
