I dont like the huge hellwin plate, but do like the amp!! They Other amp has a very cool sub built into the 4x12 that has a huge low end. At least they are bringing something new to the table too..
Essentially Schecter is doing exactly what Jackson did 25 years ago, using their name and reputation as a guitar company to introduce a line of amplifiers. If they´re as good as the Jackson stuff was or better, they might just have a chance.
Con: Jackson´s reputation in the late 80s and early 90s was notably better than Schecter´s is today IMO. Schecter has the rep of making excellent imports, especially for metal, but still not being on par with USA manufacturers. Most people still don´t know they finally have a USA facility again.
Pro: People today are "blinder", both in the sense of being "fanboiz" and in the sense of not caring so much what name is on the faceplate.
