Re: Schecter Amps have Arrived

I am very curious about these amps! I hope their amps live up to the same quality as their guitars! :) Anyone knows any prices yet?

Re: Schecter Amps have Arrived

I did not think they could come out with "pointy" looking ampz, but they did :)

here is one:

I figure dudez like this will be using it:

Re: Schecter Amps have Arrived

That Hellraiser amp is really nice looking. I guess they want everyone to know who they are. Would look very classy if the logo was 1/2 its size.

Re: Schecter Amps have Arrived

There is a video on the premierguitar youtube...sorry I haven't got the hang of linking things yet I end up looking stupid. Someone will do it!

Bottom line
It sounds like a Blackstar Ht-5 lol

Re: Schecter Amps have Arrived

I dont like the huge hellwin plate, but do like the amp!! They Other amp has a very cool sub built into the 4x12 that has a huge low end. At least they are bringing something new to the table too..

Re: Schecter Amps have Arrived

wow...$2599 and $3699???

that seems totally counter-intuitive...

Re: Schecter Amps have Arrived

Essentially Schecter is doing exactly what Jackson did 25 years ago, using their name and reputation as a guitar company to introduce a line of amplifiers. If they´re as good as the Jackson stuff was or better, they might just have a chance.

Con: Jackson´s reputation in the late 80s and early 90s was notably better than Schecter´s is today IMO. Schecter has the rep of making excellent imports, especially for metal, but still not being on par with USA manufacturers. Most people still don´t know they finally have a USA facility again.

Pro: People today are "blinder", both in the sense of being "fanboiz" and in the sense of not caring so much what name is on the faceplate.

So let´s see if it works out better for them. ;)

Thanks Maynardo,
Very enlightening video. Helped me decide that it doesn't suit my style/genre. I'm 'Old School' and much lower gain.
