Re: Schecter Amps have Arrived

Hopefully. I'm interested in how that Focus knob works. It's supposed to like calibrate the eq setting for 6, 7, and 8 string guitar.

I had the Tightmetal pedal, it was killer:

I'm guessing the focus knob will act like the tight knob on the Tightmetal.

Re: Schecter Amps have Arrived

interesting, he also designed the Peavey VTM, XXX, JSX, and the Kustom Double Cross.

this bodes well for Schecter...wonder if they'll be able to make a name for themselves in the amp market

The best entry level tube amp that I've seen is the Peavey Windsor, and it's such a single minded amp, that it's not very attractive to the entry level player. If I had to guess, this is going to appeal to kids who want to get a tube half stack, but don't want to pay a **** ton of money for it. Plus with three channels? IT's going to be popular with many veteran players, too. I think that this might be the beginning of a good year for Schecter.

I FEEL GOOD!!

Actually..

Designed the Amptweaker pedals and the 5150. These are gonna be awesome amps.

Given the overwhelming success of Peavey's Classic series amplifiers, I gotta say this guy is onto something. I've never truly heard the Kustom stuff (I always thought that was cheap, budget gear based on market bashing), but it makes me curious where he evolved Kustom's gear.

Re: Schecter Amps have Arrived

Too many knobs for my taste, but they look quite cool! I like the big logo and the red piping!

Re: Schecter Amps have Arrived

I'm clearly not their target demographic, but I'm glad to see Schecter branching out. I had a C1+ several years ago that served me well, I've always considered them to be at the top of the import heap. They always seem to put out quality gear at great price points.

Re: Schecter Amps have Arrived

I really think they need a bigger logo though. I mean, you don't want to mistake it for something like a Bugera.

Re: Schecter Amps have Arrived

I'm feel like there is some more space on the face of the head box that they could have filled with logo if they'd tried hard enough.

That being said, I'm sure these amps will really sound however they sound.
