The rest of the specs are pretty much the same for both instruments

I am using a Randall 45W head and my style of playing is drop tuning thrash/hardcore.
I dont care that much about the (Push-Pull) split coil or w/e on the neck pup of hellraiser's,just looking for a decent high gain sound with some kind of clarity for riffing.

So my questions are
1.is there a noticable sustain difference between the neck thru and the set neck construction for that kind of music?
2.Quilted Maple or Arched Top Material?
3.There is a difference of 300$ in their price.worth or not?

Schecter Hellraiser Extreme C-1 VS Blackjack SLS C-1 A

I have spent a lot of time with both guitars. The extreme is heavier (weight not tone) and has a thicker neck than the sls. The sls has a much thinner neck than other schecters. It also has 12-16" compound radius. Do you transition between lead and rhythm a lot? Then you may like the sls better. I think the sls is the better choice personally.

I'm a much bigger fan of the sls, it is a lighter guitar, the tone to me is much better, and is more versatile than the hellraiser

It is claimed that you get mahogany’s smooth, appealing lows with good sustain, as well as the extra clarity, definition, and bite added by the dense maple cap,but i dont think the same applies on such distorted sound,so i guess the Blackjack will do just fine.:bigok:

On the other hand Neck-Thru construction provides better sustain and some kind of better tone or something over the Set-Neck construction (looking for more info about it).

Conclusion is (Blackouts+Ultra thin Set-Neck) VS (EMGs+Thicker Neck-Thru+Maple top)
