Victim of Changes sounds AWESOME, bro. The whole thing sound great. You've got a winner there. Don't change a thing on that axe. There's no need, IMO. The Bad Monkey does a nice job of adding a little more to that model.

Re: Schenker Customs and the Bad MOnkey

Nothings changing except for replacing the nickel with gold screw poles...maybe some gold screws in the pup rings too.

Re: Schenker Customs and the Bad MOnkey

Cool. :fing2:

Ya know, listening to the first half or so, especially the first 20 seconds, it sounds a little like the C5 in Amber. Not 100% but it's got that low/low-mid grunt in there.

Re: Schenker Customs and the Bad MOnkey

Yup..these pickups certainly do not lack in the lows/low mids. Just how I like my bridge pickups :bigthumb:

The C5 has much less mids in the general sense, and is a smoother pup than the Schenker bridge, though I know what you meant. :D

Re: Schenker Customs and the Bad MOnkey

Jeff...I am really suprised at how good those pickups sound. I can hear a little of the smoothness/roundness of tone that I typically associate with Dimarzio, but for the most part they are open, organic and have some nice edge to the tone...which I feel is usually lacking in the DM pups. The output sounds just right for that axe and that style...hotter than a PAF, but not up in super distortion range. I'd say comprable to the custom range of Duncans....kind of like a CC with slightly crisper highs and lows.

The Bad Monkey does a great job too.

Giant-Organic tone! R.o.t.A.M. snippet too, dig that song! Congrats bro :smokin:

Thank You kindly! Took me about a minute to figure out what ROTAM meant :laugh2: Need some coffe :D

Thanks Jeff! I hafta say my recording "setup" is not terribly good, and "live" it's different, but better. Not to mention the files get compressed all to hell though the different conversions. If you are familiar with a Super Distortion, add a little output, and add some high mids, and you are there...very unlike a CC, or a C5, but along the lines of the SH5 custom. DiMarzio basically told me it's a fatter and slightly brighter Super Distortion and thats pretty much spot on. Go spin Live After Death or Unleashed in the East, early Y&T, Cheap Trick, SpaceAce..any of those classic SuperD sounds, and then just add a little more "oomph".:laugh2:

Thanks Terry. Yup its avery nice ped for $37 (what I paid) or even $75. Its no plexitone, but for a goose its as good as any Tubescreamer for far less $, and more versatile.
