SD equivalent of strat & tele Texas Specials?

So, does SD have any? And I'm not talking about having something made at the Custom Shop, just regular off-the-shelf stuff.

The closest to my ears is something like the Antiquity Texas Hots, but the magnets are not the same. But it is an amazing sounding set.

Do they make them for Strat and for Tele? And how would you characterize the difference between them and the Fenders (if you know and can put it into words)?

I can't think of any that are similar.
The strat texas specials are pretty cool if you like a really snarling, barking midrange. I like them because they are so kinda rude and in your face. What they do not have is the piano like clarity of a more old school strat pickup. Great pickups, but no pickup set will be good at everything.
The tele texas specials are to my ears very dark and thick. Kinda cool if you are going for a heavily overdriven sound but they don't offer you that transparent snap and twang of more vintage wind tele pickups.

If you like texas specials, why don't you just buy a set? Or are you already familiar with the sound and want to get a frame of reference for something slightly different?

My thoughts exactly.

Texas Hots aren't made for a Tele (although, I am sure they could be custom ordered). Comparing them with Texas Specials, I'd say the A2 magnets of the Hots are sweeter, not as bold, and slightly more complex mids. Softer attack, without as much sting.
