Well, I had to make a tough choice on which guitar I wanted in my avatar and which one to put up here with a profile. But here it is, "Kathryn."
Brand: Hamer
Model: Artist Korina HB
Year: 2001
Color: Jazzburst
Body: Korina (limba) semi-hollow with bookmatched chevron Korina top with a subtle flame to it
Neck: 3 piece Korina (limba)
Fret board: Rosewood with MOP dots
Tuners: Schaller
Pickups: Seymour Duncan "Ultimates" specially made for the Hamer Artist Ultimate
Electronics: Every thing is stock except for the pickups (originally 59's). Volume/Volume/Tone with a 3 way toggle
Strings: 11's
Tuned: Standard
Other: Swapped out the black pickup rings and toggle switch cap for cream ones. I just thought the cream plastics went a little better with the Jazzburst finish. Also, control cavity plate was signed by Hamer co-founder Jol Dantzig at the 2005 Hamer "Guru Tour" here in St. Louis. He actually "oohed and ahhed" over the top as it has both a chevron pattern and a light flame to it. Made me feel pretty good about it.
Purchased: Used in 2004 from a Guitar Center in Chicago. I just went in there to get some catalogs I could read in the bathroom. My wife saw it in there and pointed it out to me.
Reason chosen: It was in dead mint shape and stickered for $599. We took it home right then and there.
Named because: Named after my wife since she found it and she bought it for me.
Primary use: I use it for every style I can come up with.
Great Moments: Best moment of all, the day I brought it home.
