Can we enter basses?

No can compete with Karp, or TC's V... or that sparkly green lefty.

They is some sexy up in here! Gibson, really has made some amazing little pluck sticks, that are not Lester's.

And to think, the V and Explorer go back to what, '57-'58? SG's in '61? "I think."

Reminds me of mine. Tried to take a better picture (than the crappy iPhone pic before), but the room was dark and not photo friendly. And I guess I need to clean it up:

Re: SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - Category 8; Gibson Non-Les Paul Shapes ENTRIES

Is there a separate category for SGs, or do they get lumped in with Explorers, RDs, and such? The SG was, after all, Gibson's most popular guitar for many, many years. I think I remember reading that more SGs have been produced than any other type of Gibson guitar.

Re: SDUG ULTIMATE AXE - Category 8; Gibson Non-Les Paul Shapes ENTRIES

There's enough different models, and SG popular enough on its own, that I agree there could be a separate poll just for SG's (besides, I have an SG to enter and I've already submitted a V for this thread, LOL)

TC,why'd you sell the "Wildwood"

?

Too nice and too expensive. It was just sitting in the case. Also, all my other necks are slim and I didn't enjoy playing it as much with the fat neck. Figured I'd unload it while the 2013's were still new and hot and I bought an '01 Classic to replace it.

If Gibson starts making Classic White Explorers with ebony boards again, I'll get one. I'm not a huge fan of rosewood.
