Here she is my MIM Telecaster: Green metallic paint, Dimarzio Super Distortion w/ a push-pull split, Dimarzio Area-T, Jensen .047 Paper-In-Oil Capacitor, 22 Gauge Cloth Hook-Up Wire, Babicz Full Contact Bridge, Fender Locking Tuners and Planet Waves Elliptical End Pin Strap Buttons

Here is my Tele-Bomber. It has a Pine body with belly and forearm contours, Super D and a custom wound neck pup. The neck is a Fender modern player. To top it off, the switch tip is a skeleton lego head.

EDIT: See post #47 for new-and-improved entry!

Here is my number one. Amira. Oak body, maple/maple neck, Schaller Floyd Rose, Seymour Duncan Custom Custom. I started in February of 2012, and finished it in July 5 months later. I was still 14 when I finished it, and it already shows wear from me playing it so much.

So, I don't take great pictures, but here it is -

I only put on the chrome cover recently. I started picking up parts for this guitar about 3 years ago maybe? At any rate I only finished it up a few months ago. Totally worth the wait.

Edit: Swamp ash/maple/rosewood. Used to think it was kingwood but I'm pretty sure the board is regular old indian rosewood.

The bridge is a Jerry Donahue and the Neck is a non-SD humbucker so I'll keep the manufacturer a secret. It's closest SD relative would be the Seth Lover - it's a 7.1k unpotted and scatterwound pickup. Screw Coil is about 3.9k and stud coil is around 3.2k.

Pic is good enough. It's a definite player in the category. Blue, Bigsby, Big Guard... all kinds of cool points!

Re: SDUG Ultimate Axe - Category 9; Teles ENTRIES

This is my favorite tele. Fat Allparts neck, Jerry Donahue in the bridge, vintage for tele in neck, usa flag knobs and the flames are carved into the body.

Re: SDUG Ultimate Axe - Category 9; Teles ENTRIES

Fat Albert's neck. Jerry sent you a Phil Donahue for the bridge. Cool.

Re: SDUG Ultimate Axe - Category 9; Teles ENTRIES

This is not an entry because I no longer own it and have entered the TeleGib above, but it was a cool and unique Tele so I wanted to share it anyway - Rat Rod Tele.

Re: SDUG Ultimate Axe - Category 9; Teles ENTRIES

My tele isn't anything special but I love it. It's gotten me through a bunch of shows and a run of RENT. On the back it says "Firewood History" in Japanese as that's just the closest things I could find in Japanese that could also be read as my name.

If this was a competition for how good it sounded I'd definitely be more of a player than right now - all the other teles have these really gorgeous high-res photographs, but if the photo of mine was much nicer, you'd see that the string guide for the E and B strings is slightly askew, and that I haven't put on the clear coat yet because I got impatient and put the whole thing together before I was done painting the guitar. If you saw the back you'd see six white holes that I filled in with wood filler because the guitar was originally routed for a string through tele bridge, etc.

If it is a player in the contest I'm thrilled, but the guitar sounds so much better than it looks - which is, to me, what matters. It has more good sounds than just about any other guitar I own. Some can get a wider range of tones, and some can get more authentic tones, but I always end up playing my tele.

edit: I gotta say right now I'm really digging the TC tele-gib and the old tele custom. Lots of baller guitars in this thread.

I like them All!!!!!. I have been GASing for a tele for long. And my next guitar is most likely to be a Tele Build.

Those are great, I had a V+ strat and a Ron Wood tele at one point and would love to find either of them for sale at an affordable price now. I'll get my own teles in a a pic when I get home this afternoon.

Re: SDUG Ultimate Axe - Category 9; Teles ENTRIES

I'll enter this guy. MJT alder body, USACG solid rosewood neck, Klein pickups, Bigsby & Mastery bridge.
