I know it's been said before, but I would do absolutely horrible things for that LPC...really

'78 SG Standard. Modded with aged hardware (these came stock with chrome which looked oddly bright on such an old beat up guitar) Grover tuners, Faber lightweight bridge and tailpiece, and WCR Godwood/Darkburst pickups with aged poles and covers

Last call - like to shut the entries down Sunday night!

Re: SDUG Ultimate Axe: Vintage Entries

1948 Epiphone Blackstone, Serial #57098, from the Estate of Les Paul.

Those are Les' handwritten notes on the side of the case.
Says, "Old Epi, 194?, Blonde, Acoustic, (107) plain bird, very good sound, great action" - and it's all true.

Re: SDUG Ultimate Axe: Vintage Entries

I have an entry and I'm not even planning to vote for myself, that 1948 Epi is just great.

This guitar was originally purchased in 1978, I don't know when it was built. The best I've been able to gather is that it was made with Mighty Mite parts. It originally had single coils and a 6 hole vintage tremolo. The finish is beat to hell but the guitar itself is incredible. It sports a PG+/PGn and it rips balls.

1928 National Tricone Resonator (made of German silver)

Just for sharing and not an entry because technically I don't own it. Belonged to my uncle who passed away a few months back and my aunt gave it to me to help her research it and sell it. But its the oldest guitar I've ever had in my possession.
