Semi-advanced pickup selection?

Winning gurus, please help!! Thank you!

I'm building a 72 deluxe telecaster, which I'm outlining in further detail at tdpri. I figured it would be better to come here for wiring help.

The thing I'm doing differently, is I'm converting the widerange reissue pickups to 4 conductor, and using a 6 position rotary switch. I'm trying to get the most out of a fairly simple setup. No push pulls, no mini toggles. Just 2 vol. 2 tones, and a 6 way rotary.

My thought is in no particular order:
1-Bridge HB
2-Outside coils in parallel
3-Both HB (series)(alternatively outside coils in series)
4-Inside coils in series
5-Inside coils in parallel
6-Neck HB

I'm not too concerned about which selections are in which positions, so long as it makes some amount of sense.

So: is this possible? Essentially it's PRS switching options with the addition of both buckers in series.
If both Hb in series will for whatever reason not function with the other options, I'd be ok with an option for outside coils in series.

Thats superswitch type complexity there. I'm not about those rotary switches - whether they'd have enough connection options to do what you want.

4 soldering points per position, 24 total. I would hope it would accomplish what I need. I can do the work if I have a diagram, but I just don't know the ins and outs of designing or figuring out how to accomplish it.

Re: Semi-advanced pickup selection?

You might try to PM Artie or BriGuy, as I have never even seen one of those.

For reference 5 way rotary for PRS, I want to use the same but with the additional switching option.

Just an FYI for ya: those 4-pole rotary switches ARE essentially superswitches... they just have a different layout than the blade style ones. :D

Okay... the OP and I have been PM-ing back and forth for the past few days and here's what we came up with:

We ran into a little bit of a snag with the whole 2V/2T thing when trying to use it with this switch and pickup configuration. The problem came from the fact that the volume controls need to be between the pups and the switch, but in some of the variations (any where it requires one of the pickups to be split to the south coil), the volume controls got bypassed. We ended up landing on a master volume and master tone with the other two knobs being "dummies" for now. He has some great ideas for what to do with them, though... now the poor guy has to choose! Holy hell, that is wild. This is very close to what I do with a 5 way super switch and 2 HB, except I do both HB in parallel for position 3. And I have to flip a magnet to get everything hum cancelling and in phase.

If they were SD pups he'd have to flip the magnet, since they're typically set up with north on top for bridge pups and south on top for neck. But since he's working with two identically oriented humbuckers AND they're classic 2-wire which he's converting to 4-wire, he can avoid the magnet flipping part, plus he can make the wires the colors that fit the schematic (SD colors, by the way!)
