That's weird that I seem to hear the exact opposite about the pickups from what everyone else hears. Maybe I'm using the wrong words to describe the sound because the Seth has a fantastic, full, biting lead tone chords sound very full and warm. Maybe I just got a dud Antiquity? The Ant sounds great through some amps while the Seth sounds great through all. I wonder what gives?

I think your description might be correct. But I have to admit that I had the Antiquitys in a solid body Hamer and Seths in a hollow body Hamer...so it's not quite a fair comparism. Lew

I have never tried the Seths personally but I love my Antiquity's so much I see no need to try the seths!

Why don't you just stick a ant in the neck and a seth in the bridge, you get fat in the bridge and smooth in the neck

exactly what i did. but i had to swap the aged mag on the antiquity to a full power A2 to balance the volume(gain) with the Seth on the bridge position.

Not to hijack this thread, but I'm with Lew on this one. The 7.5 Fralin neck is without a doubt my favorite neck humbucker. You need to try it John!

I'm really very happy with either the A4 59N or the Jazz/59N A4 Hybrid I'm currently using now actually,but thanks again for mentioning the Fralin...
