As far as the bar itself, I always took it as each one as an individual- not compared to another. Who knows, maybe they were made by 2 different people, but if I saw 2 & 3 individually, I would think it is the same pickup. Compared together, it would be confusing. In the real world, I am not sure if I could hear the difference even with an extremely accurate and precise picking technique.
