SH-12 in a Mexican Strat....yep....you read it right....

What's up folks, I've got myself a Mexican Strat that has been severely abused. By me unfortunately. This is my favorite live guitar, it plays great, never lets me down, and has been a pal for many years. I just purchased an SH12 and was going to put it in my Ibanez Destroyer, but the Ibanez doesn't deserve it. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for replacing a single coil with a humbucker? I'd bring it to my regular guitar tech but I know he'll yell at me and call me a moron. If the shoe fits.....I guess.......

I had one in a Peavey Strat and it sounded excellent! I also put a "Seymourized" Neck mini humbucker in the neck of that guitar and it sounded great as well. I'd change the 250k pot that runs the S/Cs to a 500k pot for the "SDemon" but keep running the S/Cs on 250k

Personally, I wouldn't mess with the pot values unless the S-D is too muddy (unlikely in the bridge of a MIM Strat).
