Yep, I can get my pads and other synth stuff done with the H90. The only time I desire to grab the synth is if I want to imitate a certain instrument. I typically just grab the keyboard instead because it is easier.

I will have to hear what some of the paddy stuff in the H90 sounds like- I haven't explored that enough.
