Thank you! I talked to Rocker35 and he gave me advise on tubes..I trust him and will give some JJs a shot.

The speaker needs perhaps time to break in..no hurry..will change the tubes first

The speaker needs perhaps time to break in..

Of course! I never make a conclusion on a guitar amp before i know that the speaker is properly worn in. A really broken in speaker will greatly improve the tone of any guitar amp IMO

that's actually a good point.
i'm thinking of a speaker replacement for my thunder 50 too.
perhaps i should kick it a little more, before i decide to replace it with a texas heat:eek13:
