Shouĺd I even play thè pedal

If I'm reading it right, SS wants to know if a pedal signed by the founder of EHX should be played or stored safely away as a collectible?

I'd play it, but that's me.

does it work? use it! if not then sell it for as much as possible and buy one that does and use that one

It works great, it's brand new, I was the winning bidder on it, for a charity.

Even better-you can use it and bask in the good karma of helping others at the same time.

I think most builders/makers/creators are happiest when their musical product is making music. I think Mr. Matthews himself would prefer you played it.

I have an 805 that was signed by Seymour Duncan. As soon as I wiped the dust off the surface, the signature started erasing. So I just used rubbing alcohol to erase it altogether.

I've owned a few autographed pieces over the years, Kerry King, George Lynch, Michael Angelo Batio, Dean Z, ..... I played the hell out of all of them.

And when I buy new J's, I crease them the first day.

I vote play it.

The back of the headstock of my favorite guitar (EBMM Silo Special) is signed by Steve Morse and Sterling Ball. I play that like crazy.
