Re: Should I?

I saw this exact same V in GC for 500 used. I thought the same thing once I saw an played.

Prices in europe arent the same as in the states the used market is much smaller also here a gibson is an import not domestic so already has a large percentage of its value jacked up by import taxes.

Re: Should I?

Well, then. In Sweden, it must almost be time for the shop to re-open. :D

Re: Should I?

Coming from experience of owning several guitars only get one if you've tried it out. It may feel comfortable and suite on persons playing style yet another may really not like it.
personally i'd say there are a lot nicer guitars out there but if you like it and have tried it out, think about it. if it's still in your mind asking yourself "should i get it" then the answer should probably be a no because you've had to think.
(:

Re: Should I?

I'd totally get it. Shame it's only the cherry one at that price, as I want a white V.
Tho my designated guitar bank account is currently "only" filled up enough for the Vox AC30C2 I'm getting in a month.

Re: Should I?

My rule is: if I didn't buy it on the spot but I'm still thinking about it 3 days later, it is mine.

This is pretty much my rule.

If nobody else has snapped it up since my previous visit to a guitar store, the thing was "meant" to go home with me. Unfortunately, by this logic, my nearest Fender dealer is about to do very well out of me. (Brand new AVRI '64 Tele, new old stock 2012 AVRI '57 Strat, to say nothing of the Old Growth Redwood Tele-Bration model stashed away in the back room!) Maybe it is time to trade in something?

I hear ya ;)
I was looking at the white one at first(that's when they still
had ebony boards. Think it was '67 RIs?) but I watched this
clip and decided that...yeah, red/cherry could work too :approve:

Re: Should I?

You've been talking about that thing for like a year. You really need to go and buy it already.

LOL. Actually, what I need to do is thin the herd and see about changing my car.
