I made it. started with drawing it out on posterboard using a standard tele guard for the basic shape and then sketched my changes. once I got it to where I liked it I used the posterboard as a pattern and made a fiberboard template. then bandsawed and routed the pickguard template.

turned out good and took about an hour.

Re: Show Off Your TELECASTERS!!!

I'm officially impressed.

You don't happen to know where to get the material so that I can have a SG pickguard cut out of it?

Re: Show Off Your TELECASTERS!!!

questions:

is that a stock Kramer body?

is it a custom build?

Is Hugh Laurie photoshopped in?

Answers:

No

Absolutely. I came up with the design, and it was finessed from mere wood to "objet d'art" by a gentleman named Warren Parker of SouthEast Guitars.

Nope. Hugh and I hang all the time. That's his "I can't believe you banged 13, I thought we were friends" look.

(Two of the above answers are true. I gave up tantalizing the married gals with the shameful Shillelagh years ago. :D)

Re: Show Off Your TELECASTERS!!!

The more this thread grows the more I think Fender R&D should take a look. There seems to be so many awesome variations of such a versatile guitar!!

If you can play well, you can't go wrong with a Tele.
