Re: Show Off Your TELECASTERS!!!

I've never owned a Telecaster, but I really like them. Here's the one I'd want if I were buying -- the American Vintage Series '52 Reissue:

ahh, one of my favorite threads... also a very dangerous thread if you're easily susceptible to GAS!!

Re: Show Off Your TELECASTERS!!!

I'm amazed this thread keeps coming back even after 2 years. Steve, you were one smart man starting this thread, lol.

Re: Show Off Your TELECASTERS!!!

Here's my Tele, 2010 Oly White American Special. Lil '59 in the bridge, '59 in the neck in an Allparts pickguard. I wired it up with CTS 500K pots and a .47 cap. I kept the original switch and output jack. I also installed a vintage style string tree. Oh, I almost forgot the new American Charvel knobs!

Thanks but I, just like others wanted to see some Teles! I didn't expect it to get to 15 pages though.

Nice Teles everyone!:smokin:

Very very nice....

Okay, describe the tone you get out of it; especially since you're using 500k pots.

Re: Show Off Your TELECASTERS!!!

Love this thread! Some jaw dropping Tele's in here.

Here's my American Standard Tele. Manufactured in 2005 and bought by me in November 2006. The only things I ever changed on it are the strings. it's about to receive Seymour Duncan pickups, once I figure out which ones are right for me.

Re: Show Off Your TELECASTERS!!!

Gotta keep this thread alive. Here's the latest incarnation of my Tele and the one I have been happiest with; aesthetically and tonally...

Re: Show Off Your TELECASTERS!!!

Hey Butch, beautiful Tele. The rosewood neck and white/off white body look great. What does the mini switch do? Does it split the neck or bridge pickup? Funny thing is I just installed a mini switch on my Tele but haven't wired it up yet. Series/split/parallel for the Lil '59 in the bridge.

The mini switch, an on/on switch, engages the middle single coil when in the down position. The blade switch is the stock 3-way switch and works the same way as a normal Tele. The pickups are:

Neck - DiMarzio Steve Morse neck model
Middle - Fender Tex Mex Strat model
Bridge - GFS Modern Vintage Lil Puncher Tele bridge model

I have 500k pots for both volume and tone.

I have no idea. It's pixelpusher's. I'd like to know more about it as well.

hah saw this question 2 years later ;)

it's a 2001 American deluxe with sperzels, a phat cat n the neck a lil'59 in the bridge. 250k pots.. tried it with 500's for a year or so and went back to the 250's something about them and this particular combination of wood & wire that just works better. graph tech saddles too.

attached pic of gtr in question for reference without thread digging
