I think you do have a problem. It looks like those pickups are warping the shelves. You need to buy more pickups and flip the shelves over for a while.

I can't believe I didn't participate in this thread the first time around...
'03 EBMM Silhouette special with a chandler custom HH pickguard housing a DiMarzio PAF Pro and a FRED in the bridge, and a 5-way Super Switch. My main player.
'03 Gibson Les Paul Studio Platinum w/ Gotoh bridge hardware and EMG81's.
Bogner Ecstasy 101B and a Marshall 1936 cab housing two Hellatone 60's.
from right to left: Crybaby 535QF wah, Boss TU2 tuner, Boss DC-2 Dimension C, Fulltone OCD, Boss DD20 Gigadelay, Bogner amp footswitch. I've since added a Line 6 Verbzilla to the lineup. The OCD only gets used when I'm playing a guitar with single coils.
Also not pictured are my '05 Seagull S6 Cherry acoustic and my '95 MIM strat, which is currently getting a makeover after 10 years of service.

It's not the right time to sell. Holding them is smarter, I wouldn't want as many guitars as I could buy, not to mention clutter.
In fact I got a few boutique pickups at reasonable prices lately.
You have to take into a account that I was really big into overclocking, and overclocking server hardware (registered RAM SMP platforms). Now, there's a money sink. If you don't sell it in the right month where it's still cool you have a nice paperweight. Pickups sound like an investment compared to that.
In any case, pickups do more to the sound than the guitar itself (after you clean up the guitar with good hardware, play it regularly, clean the neck pocket etc, you need a solid base).

Well, I tried to create a new topic a million times and it didn't work, so...
Just bought this Squier Affinity, used from a tiny guitar shop around here. 3 piece alder body. Crappy stock pickups and electronics, needs a fret crowning and a new nut. Body resonance is superb, snappy and lively, the neck is wonderful and it's just fat enough. Bridge and the crappy tuners work surprisingly fine and reliably. Strung with pure nickels 11-49 at the moment. It kills my Epiphone in every aspect!
With some mods (read: Duncans) and adjustments on it, it will more than defend it's own against any stock Fender MIM out there, for half the price... got it for the price of a pair of socks, almost.
It's a fine guitar! I'm seriously impressed, didn't expect it.
Plus, it's a looker.

Here's an updated shot since I posted last here.
Got rid of the Epi Silverburst and all the pedals. Now I'm runnin' through a Digitech RP500. Also picked up the 86 Kramer.
