The Squier Vintage Modified Series Jaguar Bass is offered in both 30" and 34" scale lengths. Unfortunately, neither variant has JJ pickups, no series/parallel switching and the EQ is down near the jack socket.
Since the Jag Deluxe Bass is MIJ, it is quite possible that there has been a Japanese domestic market only short scale model.
