I agree, very overpriced, but then again people are bidding, and I doubt people bid in this range not knowing what they are hunting for.

The joke is last time I checked you can wait for a real '59 to pop up at a legitmate auction house and pay usually 150k-200k (last time I checked - some have gone for slightly under 100k in some cases)

But shelling out the type of money that could get you a vintage '58 or '60? Why not buy the real deal.

Sigh .... a fool and his money are soo ...

I noticed that. I'm guessing it's a fake bid the seller is trying to inflate the price with... but thats just my guess.

When guys catch onto BS auctions like this, they jack the price up beyond unreasonable so any real unaware bidders won't get burned. Not only that, it hangs the con-man seller out to dry with an a$$load in ebay final value fees. Also notice the seller is no longer registered? Looks like the same people bidding it up notified ebay to the fraud. This is pretty regular, if you visit any of the forums that deal with higher-end gear like this, you'll find they are well aware of the frauds pretty quick and bid them up to protect the market from these thieves.
